Toroidal transformers are widely used as power and isolation transformers in electronic systems that demand high efficiency, compact size, and stable electrical performance. Their applications range from household appliances to advanced industrial and medical equipment.

In global markets, toroidal transformers are well established and commonly used in computers, telecommunications, medical devices, instrumentation, and lighting. Over the past decade, China has rapidly expanded its toroidal transformer manufacturing capabilities, forming a complete production ecosystem that serves both domestic and international markets. Domestically, these transformers are mainly applied in home appliances, audio equipment, automatic control systems, and specialized lighting.

According to international technical classifications, toroidal transformers fall into three main categories: standard, economical, and isolation types. Standard power toroidal transformers, rated from 8 to 1500 VA, provide low voltage regulation, low temperature rise, and short-term overload capability. Economical toroidal transformers, with capacities from 50 to 1500 VA, are optimized for cost while maintaining stable performance during continuous operation.
Isolation toroidal transformers, typically rated from 50 to 1000 VA, prioritize insulation performance and safety. Medical-grade isolation transformers are designed to comply with UL544 standards, incorporating thermal protection and enhanced insulation spacing to meet stringent medical safety requirements.
