The automotive industry is increasingly turning to vertical toroidal inductors to meet the demands of modern electric vehicles (EVs) and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). These inductors are being integrated into EV powertrains, onboard chargers, and DC-DC converters, where their compact size and high efficiency are critical.

Tesla and General Motors are among the automakers exploring the use of vertical toroidal inductors to improve the performance and reliability of their vehicles. The inductors' excellent thermal management capabilities make them particularly well-suited for the high-temperature environments found in automotive applications.

John Carter, an automotive engineer at GM, noted, "As EVs become more advanced, we need components that can deliver high performance without taking up too much space. Vertical toroidal inductors are a perfect fit for our needs, and we expect to see them used extensively in future vehicle designs.
