New SKUs to Meet 5G and EV Demand
MALVERN, Pa. – October 7, 2025 – Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH), a global leader in electronic components, today announced the completion of its ambitious product line expansion for inductors and frequency control devices, featuring over 2,000 new stock-keeping units (SKUs) including advanced vertical toroidal inductor models. The expansion, first unveiled in September 2024, responds to surging demand from 5G infrastructure, 新能源 vehicles (EVs), and industrial automation sectors, where high power density and noise suppression are critical.
The new vertical toroidal inductor offerings deliver extended inductance ranges, enhanced noise reduction capabilities, and compact form factors optimized for space-constrained PCBs. Notably, the updated IHLP series vertical toroidal inductors, now shipping from Vishay’s Laguna plant in Gómez Palacio, Durango, feature a low-profile design that reduces PCB footprint by up to 30% compared to conventional models. These inductors integrate advanced ferrite core materials to achieve a quality factor (Q) of 17.5 at 70 MHz, making them ideal for high-frequency power conversion in 5G base stations and EV onboard chargers (OBCs).
“Our vertical toroidal inductor expansion addresses the industry’s pressing need for smaller, more efficient components as 5G deployments enter the millimeter-wave phase and EVs adopt 800V high-voltage platforms,” said a Vishay product line director. The company plans to add another 1,000+ SKUs by the end of 2025, targeting annual growth of 26% in the automotive and communications segments.
