BRUSSELS – September 30, 2025 – Europe’s ongoing industrial automation drive is fueling robust demand for vertical toroidal inductors, with sales in the region expected to grow by 16% in 2025, according to data released by Eurostat. The growth is driven by the widespread adoption of servo systems, frequency converters, and industrial robots, which rely on high-reliability inductors for precise power control and noise suppression. Vertical toroidal inductors are particularly well-suited for industrial automation applications due to their high current-carrying capacity, low power loss, and resistance to electromagnetic interference. In manufacturing environments, these characteristics help improve the accuracy and efficiency of automated production lines, while reducing downtime caused by component failure. The report notes that the automotive and electronics manufacturing sectors are the largest consumers of vertical toroidal inductors in Europe, accounting for over 60% of regional demand.
To meet growing needs, European component distributors are expanding their inventory of vertical toroidal inductors from both global and regional manufacturers. “As European manufacturers accelerate their transition to Industry 4.0, the demand for high-performance inductors is only going to increase,” said a Eurostat spokesperson. “Vertical toroidal inductors, with their superior technical properties, are well-positioned to benefit from this trend.”
