In the era of high-speed electronics, electromagnetic interference (EMI) has become a major design challenge. Computer motherboards, with their dense integration of circuits, are particularly prone to generating both differential and common mode interference.
Among these, common mode interference is more difficult to control, as it can easily spread through cables and radiate into the environment. Interfaces such as USB and IEEE 1394 are especially susceptible, making EMI suppression a priority in system design.
