Vishay Launches High Temperature Toroidal Inductor for Industrial & Renewable Energy Systems

April 5, 2026 Vishay Intertechnology, Inc., a leading manufacturer of discrete semiconductors and passive components, has introduced a rugged, hightemperature toroidal inductor series engineered for industrial power supplies, solar inverters, wind turbine converters, and factory automation equipment. Industrial and renewable energy applications demand components that can operate reliably in harsh environments, including high temperatures, humidity, dust, and electrical noise. 

The new toroidal inductor features a high grade iron powder core with reinforced insulation and high temperature copper windings, enabling continuous operation at up to +155°C and short term peaks to +170°C. The device provides high saturation current, low core loss, and excellent thermal stability, making it ideal for highfrequency switching circuits in power conversion systems. The toroidal inductor’s shielded construction also reduces EMI, ensuring compliance with industrial EMC standards. Vishay’s industrial product director noted that renewable energy installations are growing rapidly worldwide, and the need for durable, high efficiency toroidal inductor components has never been greater. 
The new series is available in multiple inductance values and current ratings, with samples and production quantities now offered to industrial and renewable energy equipment manufacturers.
