Vishay Introduces High Temperature SMD Power Inductor for Industrial Power & Renewable Energy

June 2, 2026 | Malvern, Pennsylvania, USA Vishay Intertechnology has released a new hightemperature SMD power inductor series engineered for industrial power supplies, servo drives, photovoltaic inverters, wind turbine converters, and energy storage systems. 

Built to withstand harsh industrial environments, this SMD power inductor offers continuous operation up to +155°C and transient peak temperature tolerance to +170°C, with robust resistance to humidity, dust, and electrical noise. Using high performance ferrite and iron powder composite cores, the device delivers low core loss, high saturation current, and excellent thermal stability, making it ideal for highfrequency switching power designs. 

The shielded SMD package supports automated surface mount assembly and reduces EMI, simplifying compliance with industrial EMC standards. Vishay’s industrial product management team stated that the new SMD power inductor improves inverter efficiency by more than 3.5% in field tests, supporting global renewable energy goals and smart factory modernization. Mass production is underway, with samples available for industrial and green energy OEM customers worldwide.
