Bourns Inc., a leading provider of magnetic components, has launched a new series of dual-winding shielded SMD power inductors tailored for single-ended primary-inductor converter (SEPIC) topologies in DC-DC converters, as well as LC filters in Class-D audio amplifiers and trans-inductor voltage regulator (TLVR) systems. The innovative two-in-one design consolidates two inductors into a single package, reducing PCB footprint by up to 40% compared to discrete components while cutting costs.
Key models like the SRF1280A and TLVR1105T series feature magnetic shielding that minimizes radiation emissions—critical for noise-sensitive applications such as smartphones and server motherboards. The TLVR-optimized variants, engineered for CPUs and GPUs, handle large transient currents in compact spaces, leveraging a unique core shape that boosts magnetic flux density. “This SMD power inductor lineup redefines efficiency for next-gen power management,” said a Bourns product manager. All models comply with CFSI CMRT 4-01 mineral reporting standards.
