March 15, 2026Sumida Corporation has launched a new shielded SMD Power Inductor series specifically designed to solve electromagnetic interference (EMI) challenges in 5G base stations, small-cell devices, and high-speed communication modules. The SMD Power Inductor integrates a fully shielded magnetic structure, effectively blocking magnetic flux leakage and preventing signal interference in sensitive radio frequency (RF) circuits. It offers wide inductance range and high current handling capability, supporting stable operation in 5G power management systems. With high thermal stability and low profile design, the SMD Power Inductor is suitable for compact 5G equipment deployed in outdoor and indoor environments. Sumida stated that this new component helps telecom equipment makers meet stringent EMC standards and accelerate the global deployment of 5G and upcoming 6G communication networks.
