GUANGZHOU – April 26, 2025 – Haihong Electric Co., Ltd., a global leader in three-dimensional wound core transformer technology, has integrated advanced vertical toroidal inductors into its modular EV charging stations, delivering significant improvements in energy efficiency and space utilization. The move comes as part of the company’s efforts to address key pain points in charging infrastructure, such as high land costs and equipment .
Haihong’s new integrated EV charging stations leverage vertical toroidal inductors’ low loss and high magnetic permeability to reduce energy dissipation by 15% compared to traditional designs. The inductors, paired with the company’s proprietary three-dimensional wound core technology, enable a compact, modular design that reduces the station’s footprint by 25%, making it ideal for urban areas and rural locations with limited space. In rural applications, the technology has helped lower construction costs by 30% by minimizing civil engineering requirements, supporting China’s “NEV Going to the Countryside” initiative.
During a recent visit by the Guangdong Engineering Survey and Design Association, Haihong showcased the technology at its global manufacturing base, highlighting its compliance with “dual carbon” goals. “Vertical toroidal inductors are a key enabler for our high-efficiency charging solutions, as their closed magnetic circuit design suppresses electromagnetic interference and improves overall system reliability,” said a Haihong technical director. The company plans to deploy over 5,000 such charging stations across China by 2026.
